Family-owned steakhouse hits bullseye with Worldpay as its new provider via referral from Payments Managed

Established in 2017, Tomahawk Steakhouse is a family-owned restaurant business that has grown to now include nearly 20 locations throughout the north of England, with expansion plans in place for new sites to be added. The business serves the finest Himalayan salt dry-aged steaks, Wagyu beef, local meat, fish and vegetarian dishes.

In addition to caring for the needs of the general public, Tomahawk also accommodates corporate customers who turn to the eatery for business meetings and staff functions.

New payments partner sought

Due to feeling neglected for several years by its previous payments provider – who supplied minimal ongoing account management support – along with experiencing a number of price increases, Tomahawk decided a change was necessary.

According to James King, financial controller at Tomahawk, “Like most businesses, we were looking for the best competitive rate we could find, and also have a primary day-to-day contact – plus an upgrade on the existing point-of-sale machines we were using."
