Sandbanks Style turns to Worldpay for payments processing and compliance assistance

Paddleboarding has taken off as a recreational activity, and it’s easy to see why. It’s not as difficult as surfing, you don’t need waves and the inflatable boards are simpler to transport.

Several years ago, Andy Belcher decided to buy himself a stand-up paddleboard (SUP). “The prices were just ridiculous,” he recalls. “I thought it must be possible to produce something just as good for a fraction of the price.”

Having retired at 50, Andy had time on his hands. He also wanted to set up a business to show his kids how it was done. Sandbanks Style was born -- a family-run company which designs, builds and sells high-quality SUPs for about half the price Andy had balked at. This service gives merchants like Andy the reassurance that they are complying by taking them step-by-step through the mandatory PCI DSS self-assessment questionnaire (SAQ), and offering advice wherever needed.

SaferPayments Managed also includes security tools, such as virus and vulnerability scans, which alert the merchant when software needs updating to help ensure the most up-to-date and secure versions are installed.

“We know a lot about paddleboards, but we can’t pretend to be security experts, so we put our trust in Worldpay. We’ve processed thousands of transactions and have not had a single problem,” Andy notes.
